Aigio is a beautiful seaside town located in northern Peloponnese, in the region of Achaia.
It is one of the oldest and most historic settlements in the area, continuously inhabited since antiquity. Its strategic position on the Gulf of Corinth offers stunning views, access to wonderful beaches, and a mild, pleasant climate year-round.The town boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. Important monuments and sites, such as Panagia Trypiti—the town's patron saint—built into the rock overlooking the sea, and the Ancient Theatre of Aigio, provide significant historical interest. Additionally, the seaside promenade, preserved neoclassical mansions, and quaint squares give the town a cosmopolitan character.
One of Aigio’s main advantages is the combination of mountain and sea: within minutes, one can enjoy the beaches of Loggos or Alyki, or visit picturesque mountain villages like Zarouchla. Residents have direct access to services, schools, shopping, cultural activities, and modern healthcare infrastructure.
Today, Aigio is a dynamically growing town with around 25,000 permanent residents. Its proximity to Patras and Athens (via the Olympia Odos highway) enhances its connectivity and attractiveness, both for permanent living and for holiday or investment purposes.
